Description
Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative brain disorder that leads to the progressive deterioration of memory and mental function. It is characterized by the formation of neurofibrillary plaques (deposits of various proteins and cellular debris) in the brain, leading to the massive loss of brain cells, especially in areas that control mental function.
Treatment involves the prevention and reduction of the plaque deposits and restoring mental acuity.
DHA, curcumin, green tea extract and resveratrol help to prevent the formation of plaque, while acetyl carnitine, choline and vitaminB5 are involved in the production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that is important for memory. Lipoic acid, vitamin C, grape seed and rosemary are powerful anti-oxidants that prevent free radical damage which may damage cell membranes and compromise brain cell integrity. Other ingredients provide synergistic support to the various biochemical pathways involved.
