Description
Bursitis is inflammation of a bursa, a small fluid-filled sac that functions as a gliding surface to reduce friction between tissues of the body, especially the joints. A bursa can become inflamed due to injury, strain, infection or arthritic condition, and usually occurs in the shoulder, elbow, hip and lower knee.
Bursitis is identified by localized pain or swelling, tenderness, and pain with motion of the affected joints. Occasionally calcium deposits may develop in the bursa and inflammation can become a chronic problem.
Treatment is directed toward reducing inflammation and relieving the symptoms.
In the formula vitamin B12 helps to break down any calcium deposits that may have formed. CMO, tumeric and quercetin have an anti-inflammatory effect, while centella, horsetail and collagen are important for their wound-healing properties. Other ingredients have a synergistic role.
