Description
Multiple sclerosis is caused by the gradual loss of the protective sheath (myelin sheath) that surrounds the nerve cell, resulting in the loss of function of the nerve. Symptoms associated with multiple sclerosis such as blurred vision, dizziness, muscle weakness and loss of control, tingling sensation, correspond to the nerves that have lost the myelin sheath.
There are a number of possible causes that may lead to the onset of multiple sclerosis including viral infections, autoimmune reactions, milk and other dairy products and excessive aluminium intake (pots and pans, soft drink cans, deodorants), but none has been identified conclusively.
Treatment options involve maintaining the integrity of the myelin sheath
The formula contains calcium AEP which binds to the myelin sheath and protects against the intrusion of viruses, bacteria and toxic anti-bodies; methionine is converted to SAMe a powerful methyl donor, which together with lecithin help to maintain the structure of the myelin sheath. Octacosanol, a component of wheat germ, helps to repair nerves and eliminates fatigue. Other nutrients have a supportive role.
